Three reasons why Brightkite will survive

  1. It complements Twitter – It’s really easy to update BrightKite from the web, or your mobile device. It’s not a Twitter clone either. Twitter is the what, BrightKite is the where. It’s fun to see where your friends are. You can also embed photos in your posts, so it’s a rich experience.
  2. It already has a bigger community than Dodgeball or Groovr – I have tried to use Dodgeball many times, but I only have five or so friends following me. In only a few days, I already have about 20 contacts on BrightKite.
  3. There are way more privacy options – You can easily manage your friends with BrightKite. You can choose how often and in what format you want to receive updates. I will keep using it until my network fades.
