A genuine Silicon Valley Web Flyer | One line of code at a time...

One plus one equals…

One. Yep, I said it.

I have to make this short and sweet, but love is easy to understand. It’s definitely a ‘feeling’.

One time, I asked all my friends the question, “What is love to you?“. This list is very informal and incomplete, but it got me thinking. Then one day, I was sitting outside Pritchard Hall at Virginia Tech. I was kinda in love, and I thought up an equation.

1 + 1 = 1

Basically, your conscience and their conscience have no conflicts. You can talk to the other person as if they were your brain.

I know it sounds weird, but if you feel this way about someone, don’t back down. Listen to your heart, because it’s your strongest muscle.

Love is your soul’s recognition of its counterpart in another.

That one has always been my favorite.

I think this is a pleasing thought… It makes me think of a conversation we had this week – I would ad to this by offering my own equation. I have always thought that with love – 1+1 = 3. Because long lasting love requires two healthy individuals committed towards caring for what happens as the individuals create the third – which is what they are as a pair.

Whatever your equation – just remember… Life is not a dress rehearsal – so don’t live it like you are practicing for something better…
