San Francisco has a bunch of bakeries that only specialize in cupcakes, but I never knew the amount of work that goes into making a perfect cupcake.
The first ever Cupcake Camp was an absolute success. The only rule: eat cupcakes.
The best one was the maple bacon. Yea, I’m not kidding. It tasted like breakfast; a cornbready flavor infused with bacon and maple syrup.
Other notables were the red velvet, the chocolate chip cheesecake, and german chocolate death.
Ariel Waldman and Marianne Masculino made this event possible, and I they did a great job as hostesses.
We did a little broadcasting on UStream so others could share in our cupcake heaven:
The event was held at Citizen Space, but next time I want CHOW to host it. They just finished building a beautiful kitchen, and it’s connected to the courtyard. It would be the best combination.
You better be at the next Cupcake Camp!
Terry Chay and Andrei Zmievski captured some really good photos too.
