Take your sunglasses off YouTube. There is a new video service on the web that is here to out-hustle you.
Imagine being able to edit your videos without spending hundreds of dollars on top brand name software like Final Cut Pro and Premiere. It’s happening now, and it’s a piece of cake. This video only took me a few minutes to make:
It’s very easy to upload videos with JumpCut too. Witty messages appear on the screen while you wait for your video to finish uploading. And the best part, unlike YouTube and Google Video, there is no cap on the size of your video.
You can add titles, actions, and effects with a few simple clicks and drags. Each effect layer has it’s own timeline bar, and you can drag it across the duration of the movie depending on how you want to style your mosaic.
Jumpcut makes it easy to embed and share videos too. The coolest part about Jumpcut is the community element though. Anyone can remix anyone else’s videos. You can even add music cuts to your friend’s clips.
I haven’t had much time to explore the site, but I have seen some of Justine and Karen’s work.
