Today I had the chance to sit in on a live episode of Buzz Out Loud, CNET’s podcast of indeterminate length.
I have always been a huge fan of BOL, so today was very exciting for me. I meant to videotape the first five minutes, but my Canon camera didn’t save the first video I took. Rafe was right.

This daily audio feed is informal, but informative. I love Buzz because I can listen to it while I work, and still absorbe most of the content. I used to be upset if I didn’t check Digg’s home page every day, but this takes care of that problem for me. Tom basically leads each story and then Veronica and Molly follow with interesting and entertaining commentary.
CNET’s longest running podcast just celebrated it’s 500th episode, where they recap the last 500 years in technology. My favorite part is when they go back in time to 1977 and debut the Apple II. Or when they go back to 1991 and discover the world wide web. Catch that episode here:

“World wide web sounds like something related to spiders”.
Jason Howell produces the podcast, and he does a good job of keeping everything smooth in the studio. When you listen to a published podcast, you assume that it went through a few hands of editing, but realistically, it’s one continuous flow. Thanks Jason for letting me sit in on the show. It was a lot of fun, and I will remember it forever.
