CNET’s Holiday Help Desk Marathon

I started working at CNET about 6 months ago, and I have always been a fan of Tom Merritt and and Molly Wood.

I was excited when I heard that CNET TV was doing a 10-hour call-in show on Black Friday.

Am I am typing this, they are sitting in the CNET TV studio talking about “a cornucopia” of gadgets. I think it’s really cool that it’s possible to do a live TV show on the internet, especially one that you can interact with so easily.

They are taking questions from 8am - 6pm PST, and encouraging callers by giving out $600 Nintendo Wii bundles! If I wasn’t disqualified, I would totally be calling in asking about my broken brown Zune, or trying to figure out which is the best Apple computer to buy before Christmas.

Brian Cooley is also sitting in to answer some calls. Each hour, they take a look at the best product in one of 10 categories. This hour, they are reviewing the best digital camera of the year.

The ads for Holiday Help Desk are all for CNET shows, which is cool for me, because I am still trying to grasp the amount of media that the company produces.

If you haven’t listened to a CNET podcast, or watched one of Molly’s Buzz Reports, you are missing out :)
