Greg Stein’s vodka tasting party

Last night, Greg Stein hosted a vodka tasting party at his San Francisco loft. I would consider vodka to be my least favorite type of liquor, but I had never had good vodka. I think I have had Grey Goose once before.

Andrei's choice

When I asked Andrei what kind of vodka he brought, he blurted without hesitation, "Russian".

Greg’s friend Misha was late to arrive, but his bottle was cracked open first for the opening toast. He had brought it straight from the motherland.

Anya prepared traditional Russian appetizers that go good with vodka.

I tried caviar for the first time.

At 8:30 p.m., Greg’s perfect shot glasses got wet.

There were a lot of people enjoying their vodka. No one was getting out of hand, and Greg definitely had enough space for people to mingle around.

Instead of saying “Cheers” like we do in America, the Russians say “за ваше здоровье”, which translates to for your health. This is how you pronounce it:

Nasdarovia

Towards the end of the night, I got learned about Terry’s analog blog.

Maybe instead of tasting vodka you should try to be cerative and think about ways to raise funds for alcohol addiction centers. Promoting alcohol is not a way to promote a healthy life. Maybe you don't want to live very long, but let others do.
